In the Old Testament days, slaves would sometimes endorse voluntary slavery.

If indentured servants so chose, they could remain a slave (Ex. 21:2-6; Deut.. 15:16-17). Their ear was pierced to indicate this permanent subjection.

The law recognized that some people want the security of enslavement.

In the late 60”s I was successfully drawn to, and sold the Martin Luther King dream, “Don’t judge a man by his color, but by the content of his character”.

His dream wasn’t to divide, he simply wanted a level playing field so that his race could pursue the same American dream that every other American had available.

That the color-divide would go away. — That people could live in peace and harmony. — That was my dream too.

But, upon the death of Martin Luther King, black community organizers like Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton and the liberal black politicians of the nation stole that dream from their own people in a quest for power.

And then the new tactic was, “teach hate and division, and demand that the government give them their needs”. – They owed it to them.

Through the years they have successfully recruited the liberal press and taken control of the educational system, and used it to successfully indoctrinate our children.

Today race baiting has become one of the most effectively used tactics in the Democratic Party.

And the president has shamed the honor and prestige of “the office of the presidency” by adopting that tactic, without any regard for the great Martin Luther King dream. – a dream that our president was never taught, because of his parents dislike for the “ the American capitalist system”.

Today, there are some Americans that have been sold into ‘voluntary slavery’  by the left — Who would rather be dependent upon government to provide their needs (and with that provision, accepting their commands) — than do what is necessary to live free from its provision and direction.

We have a long way to go to bring that dream back. But we see more and more black leaders today that are breaking away and investigating their options and realizing that the dream is still available.

Realizing that success comes, not through entitlements that steals their vision from them. — But through the content of their character, the moral standard that Martin Luther King taught.  — To love and respect one another regardless of color.

To understand the importance of a family unit that includes the marriage of one man and one woman.

The importance of an education where they can learn first, that the original intent of our Founding Fathers was to teach our children reading, writing and arithmetic.

Also to respect God, family, and country, to work hard and understand that we are all accountable for our actions. — The schools have been taken over by the Progressives and turned into “institutions of indoctrination” and used to reverse all of those virtues.

I’m very sorry that this generation has had that stolen from them. (both black and white)

We have a lost generation of black Americans because of the selfish, greedy, racist, and immoral tactics of the left. –
Allen West recently said – “There’s nothing on this green earth that a liberal progressive fears more than a black American who wants a better life and a smaller government.”
Conservatives “understand that the Constitution was written to control and regulate the government, not the people”.
I know. I’m just an old white man. And it was challenging for me to stand up in the late 60”s for what I thought was right. – And the race baiters have created an even greater divide today.

But it’s still my dream too.

You can see the abuse that black leaders receive when they try to break away from the dishonest propaganda that has been pounded into their heads. — Eagerly distributed by the liberal press,

But the dream is still available, and it’s the responsibility of all of God’s children to unite and make that dream happen.

“More African Americans are starting to rebel against the liberal black activist and politicians that stole the “Martin Luther King” dream from them.

When they get into their own mind they can see that there are still no jobs, their kids can’t read and write, there’s more violence in their neighborhoods, their daughters are having babies without husbands – and they are worse off then they were 20 years ago.

More and more African Americans are starting to think for themselves and looking for policies that will give them a better life..” — Realizing that they have been sold out by their own brothers and sisters.

Conservative politicians are afraid that if they talk about racism they will lose the black vote. How much of the black vote do they have now?

If they can teach them the benefits of Conservatism, they will get their vote.

And the liberals that sold them into slavery will have to leave town.

Though this article focused on the African American community –In all reality, ‘voluntary slavery’  crosses all ethnic lines.
