“Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.” Exodus 9:1 KJV

This was the battle cry of the first recorded revolution to secure a nation’s freedom of religious and civil rights.

As far back as the time of Moses there has been an ongoing revolution to secure the freedom of religious and civil rights.

This is a demand that could have been and may have been shouted from the pulpits in the British churches as ministers brought sermons demanding freedom of religious and civil rights, boldly preparing the country for a Revolutionary war.

Sermon topics that would later serve as the rights listed in the Declaration of Independence –  Topics that had been preached from the pulpit in the two decades leading up to the American Revolution.

How often did the ministers cry to the King, “Let my People Go!”

Years before the Martin Luther King march for civil rights, how often did this bold and brave minister and pastor of a church cry out to his own government leaders, “Let my People Go!”

Today we are in the beginning of the last revolution to secure our freedom of religious and civil rights. — A war that must be fought, not with guns or violence, but through knowledge and activism.

Throughout history every successful attempt to secure freedom of religious and civil rights in society has been lead by men of the cloth, boldly preaching the Word of God and applying it to the civil affairs of their time.

It’s time for the church to come out of hiding and demand, Obama! Let my People Go!

The Obama army has secured willing warriors in powerful government agencies such as the IRS, EPA, NSA, the regulatory system, and PRISM engaging in data mining, securing private information on all American citizens, etc., that is being used to suppress politicians and citizens that are fighting to bring our country back to a free and moral society.

And a corrupt media partner, willing to hide and cover up for this administration as they “Lie and Deny” in an attempt to outlast the many scandals in hope that people will forget.

There are three areas that must be attacked when attempting to subdue religious and civil rights

A nation is free, prospers, and is strong when the majority of it’s people have a “socially moral” worldview.

The first step to the breakdown of a nation is to divide and separate the traditional family unit and it’s moral Christian values. – The family unit is also critical to the strength of the church.

The start of the hippie movement and their cry, “If it Feels Good do it”, was the catalyst that prompted the social moral decay that is now dominating our society.

Young women began having babies out of wedlock, and the fathers refused to assume their fatherly responsibilities. More than half of the nation’s families today is headed by one parent.

Breakdown of the traditional two parent family unit bred the scourge of poverty, which in turn, breeds ignorance and adds to additional moral corruptness, and produces a viscous circle that seems to have no end.

As time went on, women’s right to choose was introduced leading to the atrocity of abortion.

Today gay marriage is gaining momentum, further threatening the traditional two parent family unit of one father and one mother.

It is time to say, Obama! Let my People Go!

The second area that must be attacked when attempting to subdue religious and civil rights is to gain control of the educational system.

The original intent of our Founding Fathers was to teach our children reading, writing and arithmetic. Also to respect God, family, and country, to work hard and understand that we are all accountable for our actions.

The schools have been taken over by the Progressives and turned into “institutions of indoctrination” and used to reverse all of those virtues. I’m sorry that this generation has had that stolen from them.

However, control can be recovered if the churches throughout the land will actively appoint, campaign for, and elect Christian School Board Members.

It is time to say, Obama! Let my Children Go!

The third area that must be attacked when attempting to subdue religious and civil rights is to suppress free speech by activist that are a threat to the Progressive corrupt agenda.

One of the most dishonest yet powerful tools to suppress religious and civil rights was the passage of “Separation of Church and State,’ which has been and is still being used to eliminate the mention of God or even godly symbols from the public arena including our schools, and attempts to eliminate parts of the Word from the pulpit, labeling it “hate speech”, thereby making it illegal.

The liberals have successfully played the race card since the death of Martin Luther King.

Today, race baiting has become one of the most effectively used tactics in the Democratic Party.

If you’re for closing the Mexican border before confronting the illegal immigrant problems, again you’re labeled a racist.

If you oppose gay marriage you are called a Homophobe.

If you are opposed to abortion, you are conducting a war on women.

If you demand lower taxes and smaller government, you are mean spirited and are against the poor.

And since the election of Obama, powerful government agencies mentioned above  are being used to suppress politicians and citizens that are fighting to bring our country back to a free and moral society.

It is time to say, Obama! Let my People Go!

Understanding the role of clergy and the pulpit, the Rev. Charles Finney (a leading figure of the national revival known as the Second Great Awakening) reminded the ministers in his day of their historic influence in these areas:

Brethren, our preaching will bear its legitimate fruits. If immorality prevails in the land, the fault is ours in a great degree. If there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the public press lacks moral discrimination, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the world loses its interest in religion, the pulpit is responsible for it. If Satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it. Let us not ignore this fact, my dear brethren; but let us lay it to heart, and be thoroughly awake to our responsibility in respect to the morals of this nation. [ The Christian Treasury Containing Contributions from Ministers and Members of Various Evangelical Denominations (Edinburgh: Johnstone, Hunter and Co., 1877), p. 203.

Maybe It’s time for the Third Great Awakening

America needs help today – she needs courageous and patriotic ministers who will provide leadership and speak out from the pulpit on the pressing issues of the day, whether spiritual or temporal.

Even if you’re not a minister, or regular churchgoer, if you are patriotic, or simply want to see our nation return to a moral society:

It is time to adopt the command that Moses was demanded to deliver to Pharaoh . Obama! Let my People Go!

I love this article Bro. Ray. This is the kind of Bible truth that needs to reach the White House. Unfortunately, we’re seeing the days of Sodom and Gomorrah return through our nation. I am very saddened by the Supreme Court decision today to change the marriage decision from one man and one woman to “two partners”. I still think you should contact Wiley Drake (www.wileydrakeshow.com) to get more exposure to this site. Thank you for sharing this!

Thanks Brother. My heart aches as I watch momentum building towards our loss of religious freedom. It’s like boulders are falling all around us and we don’t notice it. This article has lit up the internet. I pray it finds the right people.

It feels pretty lonely down here some days, but nothing good ever comes easy.
